Matthew Wolfanger was co-owner of a successful family retail business before joining American Income Life Insurance Company.  Now a State General Agent in Maine, Matthew connected with the AIL opportunity because, “From a business perspective, American Income Life just made sense.  Being engaged in a small, family-owned business, I understood what it took to work hard and how to get the job done to be successful.  AIL is exactly that.  If you follow the proven system, work hard, put in the time required, learn from a number of mentors, and do your very best, you will achieve success.  AIL has a proven niche market, qualified leads, and a training program that allowed me to excel personally.”

 

Accomplishment has highlighted Matthew’s AIL career.  He has been a Top 10 producer in back-to-back years, a two-time President’s Club member, a five-time Founders Club member and a State General Agent for four years. 

 

What has been most rewarding for Matthew at American Income Life is “the opportunity to be promoted based on my achievements.  Promotion at AIL comes based on merit and ability.  Watching my renewals grow throughout the years has been exciting.  I know the longer I am with AIL, the more policies my Agency writes, and the higher the quality of business I have, the bigger the stream of future income will be.   Our products are designed to fit the average person’s needs.  The cost is affordable for anyone who finds the products valuable for their family.  I have seen many people make claims, both for death and hospital supplements, and it is rewarding to know I was there to help them through probably one of the most difficult periods in their life or their family’s lives.

 

Would he advise others to follow his career path?  Definitely!  “When you have qualified leads, a training program, some of the best products in the industry, and the opportunity for lifetime renewals, there is no other place to go.  If a friend came to me and asked for career advice, I would have to steer them into a career opportunity of a lifetime with American Income Life.”

 

Matthew knows he made the right decision joining AIL.  “Early in my career, I wrote a policy on a young family that had no insurance.  Sadly, three weeks after I visited their home, the husband and father, who was the primary income earner, was killed in a tragic accident when a drunk driver hit him head on.  That was the moment that I knew I was doing something more than earning a living or building a career.  I was helping people through the most difficult periods of their lives.  It makes you feel good at the end of the day to know that, and it is very rewarding.”

 

Would Matthew do anything differently if he could start his career over?  “I would talk to more of my acquaintances about the great career I had and hope that I could help them to enjoy the success I have had.”

 

When not working, Matthew enjoys the outdoors.  Bow hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and cycling are all areas of interest for him.  When time permits, he also uses his high school carpentry skills to work on projects around the house or in the yard, including landscaping.

 

Matthew contributes both time and money to his religious organization, the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He also supports local fire, ambulance, and police organizations during their fund drives.
